Could i die from wearing thumb tacks as earrings?!

Not likely to die from it. You'll first experience severe pain from it.
The chemicals in your body will start to react with the tacks and this is guaranteed to cause a metal allergy.
I would suggest that you take them out, clean the holes really well and go to a shop and get them pierced with proper surgical studs.
If you are enjoying wearing thumb tacks then you are quite certain to love the studs.
