If you like wearing it and she likes seeing you in it, don't worry about whether other people do or don't.
I wouldn't like seeing my husband in a thong. However we are older and he is not in the best of shape. I love him just as he is but that doesn't mean I want to see him in that.

Tried it, hated it, it is called butt floss for a reason. I had a sore *** after a whole day of wearing one, and I am not a large person or anything. Ouch.
