Question: I get infections in my pubic region after shaving.?
After shaving i get horrible infections in my pubic area. Note: i use a brand new blade each time that i sanitize in warm water for fifteen minutes first. These infections become swelling of what begin as normal pimples to giant black blood filled swells of the skin. Any ideas of what it is.?.?Health Question & Answer

You most likely have ingrown hair.
A way to fix the problem: Apply a warm, moist compress to the area for a few minutes to soften the skin. Thoroughly wet a clean washcloth with very warm water and hold it against the affected area. When the washcloth cools down, run it under warm water again. If you can see the ingrown hair embedded in the skin, this treatment will soften the hair and bring it closer to the surface. If you can't initially see the hair, leave the warm compress on until it rises to the skin's surface. i stopped shaving completely, due to ingrown hairs!the follicle becomes like pus filled boil, very painful.So, instead:cut the hair real short,like a stubble.no more ingrown hairs and pus filled cysts!Health Question & Answer
