This sounds like an episode of House?!

Question: This sounds like an episode of House.?
56 year old male comes to the ED with excruciating pain in his side, vomiting blood, and blood in his stool. He's admitted to the cardiac floor following a funky EKG.

One test says he had a heart attack, another says he didn't. They don't think he did. Four days later still blood in vomit/stool, still terrible pain. Morphine isn't touching it.

Can't figure out where the blood is coming from. CT scan doesn't reveal it, but does reveal a cyst on his pancreas. They say the cyst isn't what's causing the pain though. They'll do a biopsy later.

Cardiac tests still funky. He has Jimminies. Again, it's unrelated to the pain. What does this sound like. What test will show them where he's bleeding from.?Health Question & Answer

With blood in the vomit and stool it sounds like a gastrointestinal issue. I would be looking at the stomach and intestines. An upper and lower GI would be a start. What are the results of your H&H.? If you are losing a lot of blood, your H&H would be low.

also, I would suggest a closer look at the pancreas.

It's only a guess. Communicate with the doctors; that's your best bet. If you don't think they are doing the job then find new ones.
