Male Question??? Help!!! 10 points!!!?!

Question: Male Question.?.?.? Help!!! 10 points!!!.?
My brother had knee surgery today. Now he is an active person, loves to play sports. But what has me wondering is he had a heart beat of 60.. Is that normal for a active 18 year old.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Maybe if he is sleeping and on Vicodin.
Otherwise, NO!
A healthy 18 year old should have a heart rate of 75 (when relaxed) to 90 beats per minute. I would expect to see 60 pbm in someone over 75 years old. It could be the medication but make sure his heart rate is at least 80 bpm after he is off the Vicodin for two weeks.Health Question & Answer

hope he's recovering well. i think that's ok though. but don't live on my word. he may have dropped because of the operation and he''s less active. but 60's prettty good. i wish i was like him. mine's a bit off.
10 points.?Health Question & Answer

That's very normal, he has worked his heart to beat slower by pumping more blood each beat. Don't worry about he's fine and even more healthy than most people. Lower heart rates are BETTER.Health Question & Answer

That should be taken after a minute. A resting heart beat of 60bpm is normal. As long as his bp is within the normal for him then thats ok . Health Question & Answer

Yes perfectly normal.
