Eat and then work out at least 1 hour after, so your body has time to digest. If you eat then workout right away, your body has a harder time getting the oxygen and blood it need to other parts of the body because it is trying to use it to digest food.Health Question & Answer

You should not eat before you exercise. If you do you could be prone to cramps and basically bring it all back up! Prior to exercise you should ensure that you are well hydrated (loads of water) and also drink during your exercising. As for eating, it is advisable to do so following your exercising. The reason being is that whilst you "work out" your metabolic rate increases and food consumed following your exercise will burn off more calories. One final comment, if you are into the "muscle" thing then have a nutriant drink before you start. Hope this helpsHealth Question & Answer
