Boys go through these changes at all different combinations of times; you are perfectly normal. You are at the beginning of puberty, you have plenty of time to develop underarm hair. Man i'm 19 I have armpit hair, but my facial hair is really patchy. My dad is 38 and he doesn't have armpit hair or arm and leg hair. It just depends on the person. I have more stomach, armpit, leg, and chest hair. But he has me beat on the beard he has a humongous thick beard. It just depends on you man don't worry about it, some guys have to manscape ( cut there armpit hair it grows so much). I'm one of them so it could be a good thing. Health Question & Answer

Everyone is different and underarm hair certainly doesn't indicate intelligence!
Personally I would rather have a functional brain than some hair under my arms.
Just throw it back at them with the comment that your are thankful that you have some intelligence. Tell them you prefer that to underarm hair.

I'm 41 and have very little armpit hair (almost none at all). It really isn't a big deal. In fact, sounds like you're a step above me as I can hardly grow a beard either. I try and look like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.
