After intense workout, muscles decrease in size?!


Question: After intense workout, muscles decrease in size.?
3 days ago I started hypertrophy training with my weight lifting class and did 4 sets of 10 reps of bicep exercises(hammer curls, concentration curls, alt. curls, etc with 30-45 seconds of rest
the weights were more than i can handle not very light at all
so i struggled during my last sets of each exercise
anyway during the "resting days" i was sore
and after 2-3 days i was fine
BUTTT i noticed that my biceps were SIGNIFICANTLY decreased in size
why is this.?! i thought it was suppose to be bigger
i have steak for lunch and dinner 2/3 days and i don't think protein is the issue here

Then after a while when u keep weight lifting, they'll start getting bigger.

This is normal. What a lot of people don't understand is that when you work out, you are actually damaging your muscles. You are destroying micro layers of your muscle, and that is why your muscles actually decrease in size after a workout.
