Question: Theres something wrong with my testicle.?
Im 15 years old. It's been atleast 3 years that my left testicle has been giving me problems. I think it might be testicular torsion. Ive been living with this alright, I almost never get pain from it. But for the past 4 days its hurt EXTREMELY bad! I can barely play basketball.
I think the reason I never got it checked out is because of the embarasment I would feel haveing to tell my mother about it. I'm gonna probably tell her tomorow, and ask her to bring me for a check up. I'm so scared that this could be really serious! Telling your mother is the BEST thing you can do at this point. If you have pain and discomfort and it is interrupting your normal life you need to get it checked out, it might be a serious problem. Torsion is possible but not likely at aged 15. It could be swelling or inflammation in the tubes around the testicle - or it could be inflammation in the testicle itself. Either way it needs checked over and treated if necessary.
Don't delay any longer. There's nothing to be embarrassed about - doctors really do see this kind of thing all the time
