Sexual dysfuntion question?!

Question: Sexual dysfuntion question.?

im 20 years old and I have been on zoloft since age 13. I have been on it for so long now that I cannot really come off of it. I have seriously tried multiple times. The problem I am having when I lower the does is with speech, thoughts, and a very foogy head. I believe im at the point now where I need the medication to think.

The big draw back to this is all of the side effects. I feel emotions differently on the drug. Another element that really hurts me is my extremely LOW libido and occational errectile dysfuntion when im on the drug. Im afraid that this can hurt me future relationships. How whould I tell a girlfriend of mine of my problem.?

I really cant feel sensual at all on the drug and rarely have an orgasim but I can think more clearly, but Im afraid that this can ruin future relationships.

I have went to multiple doctors about the medication, but they are short on ideas

all the medications seem to make me feel very uninterested in sex, but at the same time I cannot think clearly without them since I have grown so used to them.

It's fairly well-known that serious anti-depressants have little true-lasting, useful effect on your well-being - i.e. the purpose they were meant for - and plenty of side effects.

I suggest you look at The Journey by Brandon Bays and read up and take the journey to find the source of why you were put on this drug, and so you can begin to heal yourself, instead of continue to have your health crap out on you. Health Question & Answer

What you have described are classical side effects of most all SSRI's. If you have to remain on Zoloft in order to function then there is a high probability that you may need an erectile dysfunction medication in order to sustain a normal, healthy, sexual lifestyle.

If your doctors are out of options, then you might suggest Viagra or one of the other ED medications to see if it corrects your problem.

Good Luck!Health Question & Answer

Well the doctors should be able to give you a less potent drug for adhd or add what ever you have. But you can always try to get off the medicine and don't take it again for another month. Most of the time Zoloft helps not only control your problems but fix them over time. You might feel groggy and kind of "off" but it's only because you have been on the medicine for a long time. So of course your going to feel like that.
