Does lifting weights stunt growth?!

Question: Does lifting weights stunt growth.?
I am 15, and I am wondering if lifting 15 pound dumbells would stop my height from growing.? I have heard that it doesnt, but lately i havent been growing, any taller. i am currently 5' 10", my dad is 5'10" and my mom is 5'6".Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No, it does not. Your height potential is determined by genetics. The only things that can stop you from reaching that potential are extreme malnutrition, certain drugs, or certain injuries. You need to be more careful while lifting because your body is more susceptible to injury than an adult's, but so long as you learn and use proper form the risk is very low.

You may have reached your max height already, or maybe it's just slowing down for a while. I hit 5'11 around when I was 16, and never grew another inch. My dad is 6'4".
