Question: Why does hair come back thicker when you shave.?
whhhyyyy>.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It's not actually thicker, what happens with shaving is that you create a blunt end on the hair that grows out, rather than the fine tip hair naturally has. Picture it like a square vs. a triangle with a point facing up.

If you let it grow out, it would be back to the thickness you're used to, but for as long as you continue to shave, it will appear and feel thicker.

Hope this helps =o)Health Question & Answer

It doesn't. Before you shave, the hair has been worn down by contact with your clothing and other damages, making it finer and softer. When you shave, the fresh hair shaft is stiffer and healthier, making it seem more coarse than before you shaved. Your body doesn't change the way it produces follicles according to whether or not you shave. Health Question & Answer

It actually doesn't that is just an old wives tale. It can irritate the pigmentation in your follicles that causes it to come back slightly darker which indeed makes it more noticeable. Health Question & Answer

It doesn't. It just appears that way because naturally hairs are tapered at the end, but shaving it makes the ends blunt which makes the hair feel thicker and rough.Health Question & Answer

It doesn't grow back thicker, it's just that you are cutting the hair the hair off in the middle. It just appears thicker.
