There's no telling what it is. Talk to your dad. If you're not comfortable with that, ask if you can go to your doctor. Since it's been this way for a month, it would be a VERY good idea to go to a doctor. Don't be embarrassed when talking to the doctor, they get visits like these all the time and they handle it very professionally. They don't want to make fun of you, they want to help you.
