Is breathing directly from a humidifier bad?!
Question: Is breathing directly from a humidifier bad.?
My mom has bronchitis, and she insists that she has to put her face directly over her humidifier. Is that somehow not a good thing.? I think that sucking down all that moisture can't be good for her. What do you think.?Health Question & Answer

My thoughts on this would be , it's a definante NO NO !!! Especially if it's a warm air humidifier.. Humidifier's are just to put moisture into the air ,and directly breathing into it can bring on the complications of neumonia...Bronchitis can be dealt with in a much simpler manner than to risck getting neumonia , deeply into the lungs ...My mother had bronchial asthma and tried to say it helped alotta times ,,but, she'd end up in the hospital .. Even a cool air mister will cause you to get neumonia and a great deal of other complications.. NO ,, it's not a good thing ... Put a pan of water on the stove and let it boil for about a half hour and that should put more moisture in the air than whats needed .. I dont understand the things mothers wanna tell kids its OK to do ,but yet , are looking out for the best intrest of their kids.. Call any physician on the phone and they'll tell ya straight out ,,,THAT"S A NO NO !!!Health Question & Answer
