I belive im allergic to soap please help!! Vaginal and butt discomfort.?!
Question: I belive im allergic to soap please help!! Vaginal and butt discomfort..?
I have been experiencing vaginal discomfort similar to a yeast infection. It has been a year and I have had several test done that would explain my discomfort. Every std test, cultures, pap smears and coloscopy nothing has been found. I was negative for everything. I recently was told that maybe im allergic to soap. Since this happened I have changed my soap, laundry detergent and do not use anything down there that would irritate except soap and I use Dove unscented. I also have a rash in my anal area and was misdiagnosed with the doctor's saying I had genital warts but when I went last the doctor told me it was a rash. Im so confused and at my wits end. I have stopped using soap and just rinsing with warm water. Does anyone know of having a rash in butt area and vaginal discomfort from soap.?.?.?.? And also if I was using soap for this whole year how long would it take for me to heal.?.?.?.?.?.?Health Question & Answer

Soaps can definitely be irritating to those areas. I actually went through the same thing for two years, stopped taking baths, stopped using soaps all together, and used unscented laundry detergent. I can't answer the anal parts because I didn't experience discomfort there. If you're using Dove you're set on the right path. You could have Vulvar Vestibulodynia or some other vulvar disorder. That's what I was diagnosed with after being diagnosed with Urethral Syndrome, Interstitial Cystitis, and other stupid things. I found out it was my birth control all along. Birth control is basically a ton of estrogen which makes the nerves of some people expand and makes the pelvic region very sensitive. After I switched to a progesterone dominant pill my problems went away. I'm sorry it hurts, I know it sucks. I don't know what else it could be from...Health Question & Answer
I use to have the same problem, except i was a little girl. But just try to keep the soap away from the insides of those areas because soap can easily irritate them.Health Question & Answer
