I was just denied disability in PA a second time?!

Question: I was just denied disability in PA a second time.?
I have 2 lesions on my brain. One was removed in 03 leaving me with seizures. I have so many that I am unable to keep a job and have no license.

I also have (diagnosed) anxiety disorder, panic disorder with agorophobia, bipolar disorder, depression and I can't go outside.

Now that I have been denied I will lose the ability to pay for my meds. I am on Keppra, Topomax, Zoloft, Xanax, Seroquel and I can't afford these out of pocket.

I feel like the only option is to go to a job and seize every day in front of people until I can get help. How much is a lawyer for appeal.? Has anyone else ever been in this situation.?

Thanks.Health Question & Answer

This situation is ridiculous! And it goes to show you how unreliable American health care is.

You could try to sue them for not giving you what you need.

Another thing you could do is ask for your medical records, bring a friend and go Canada where they will be able to give you free care and you won't have to pay so much for the meds that you need.

You will need to get a lawyer to fight this. The average person on disability has to appeal 3 to 4 times to get approval. Once you get approval you get back pay from the day you first applied.

In the meantime contact the makers of your medications and ask for information on their patient assistance programs. These drug makers will give you meds for free if you qualify. Sounds like you don't have income so they will approve you.Health Question & Answer

Have you tried to work.?

I know it sounds cruel, but there are jobs out there that you can do. I'd say not to let your problems run your life. Try something in walking distance or even on a bus route.Health Question & Answer

Worked with a woman who was also denied disability (in Pa). The judge told her that she can walk, carry and thinkHealth Question & Answer
