Why doesn't the CDC release its new study on autism to the press?!
Question: Why doesn't the CDC release its new study on autism to the press.?
A major study was published online showing that offspring of older parents are much more likely to be autistic. Stories have appeared in England and Scotland, but there is no press in the US. Why not have a press release here.? http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/hea...

Answers:
It has been released to the press. If you read it, you better believe that the newspapers have read it. So, you have to conclude that the newspapers don't think it's very interesting.
I do though. There is also a statistical link between autism and difficult birth. There is also a statistical link between autism and constitutional frailty.
The big problem is showing *how* all these things cause autism. On the face of it, it makes no sense--unless Bettelheim was right that predisposition to autism is due to birth trauma. Health Question & Answer

I don't know where you've been, but I've read this story in the US press. Try looking it up on the AP or Reuters. Or right here on Yahoo! News.
