How do i protect my self from flu without getting vaccine?!
Question: How do i protect my self from flu without getting vaccine.?

Wash your hands a lot during flu season. Don't touch your face when out in public because you transfer germs from objects to your body more easily that way. Cough/sneeze toward your elbow, not your hand. You can also keep up on fresh fruit/vegetable intake, drink lots of water, and eat a healthy balanced diet to keep your immune system healthy.Health Question & Answer
Make sure you get plenty of rest/sleep, keep your home as humid as possible--leave a window cracked even with the heat on, run a humidifier or a vaporizer, eat plenty of good for you food like veggies/fruits/soups, etc... Don't go overboard on the anibacterial crap. Any soap is just as effective as antibacterial as long as you use it properly--warm but not hot water and lather up for like 20 seconds and rinse. Try to avoid people with the flu or flu prone areas like public places/schools/hospitals. Sometimes you just get the flu. Sometimes your body has to develop a resistance to it naturally and vaccines won't help that. I never get flu shots and strangely even though I live in a house and work with people who are always getting the flu, I don't get it. My immune system is strong enough to fend it off. But, I'm also not afraid to get it. I think your mind has a great deal to do with whether or not you get the flu or not. Health Question & Answer
go to Antarctica in September - don't return home until May.
unfortunately washing your hands will not prevent influenza nor other respiratory diseases - because influenza is inhaled, it does not infect you through your hands. Washing your hands IS quite effective in preventing diarrheal illnesses. Echinacea has no benefit in treatment nor prevention - this has been extensively studied and debunked. And you cannot "boost" your immune system. those are just the facts.
if you truly cannot get a shot for some strange reason, then you have to limit your exposure in public places and on public transit - and consider influenza prophylaxis with oseltamivir at the height of the flu season -- this medication would only be prescribed if you are an individual at very high risk of influenza complications.
