do not use head and shoulders!!! it works by making the top layer of skin come off. its waay 2 strong for a child of that age. are you sure its dandruff.? its not common at all at such a young age, it could be eczema or just sensitive skin. i would remove all nasty chemicals from his shampoos etc, you can buy some really good stuff now, such as a brand called halo and horns, which cleared up my little girls dry skin on her head in a few days. or you could try olive oil. which can be very efctive. or use an antidandruff shampoo from bodyshop or lushyoud be amazed what removing certain chemicals can do. if that dosnt help thn take him to the doctors.
