so i had soup homemade chicken noodle and i got some and pooured it in my bowl and it had my retainer in it. It was off the stove for like 10 MInutes and now i put it back in and it is REALLY tight on one side is this bad. How do i fix it.Health Question & Answer

Wow ! You are in a unique situation.
Unfortunately, because of the heat the metal (and probably the acrylic also) has undergone some distortion.
You will have to go to your Orthodontist to get the metal wires readjusted.
It is possible that you may have to get a new one made.
You CANNOT use the old one (if it cannot be fixed) because the excess pressure may cause damage to the teeth. If adjusting the wire works, then it should be fine to use it afterwards.Health Question & Answer

Hello...Ok let's accept your explanation and say this, no dental appliance is designed to be in water hotter than 110 for more than three minutes....When you cook a retainer, you ruin a retainer and the fact that it fits tight is proof of that...You will need a new retainer...pure and simple.
