I just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant and I work in a dental office and we have N20 in the office I also have to take x-rays on children is this safe.Health Question & Answer

I wouldnt recommend it so early in your pregnancy, not worth the risk aye, Is there someone else that could take the xrays for you instead.?.? I know wen one takes xrays, that they stand behind the machine & then press the buzzer, & as for the nos, thats not a good idea either. Stay out of the room with Nitrous! It can lead to spontaneous miscarriage. Don't go anywhere near a room with that on. And no a mask will not help, some dentist say a mask will filter the air, but it doesn't. You should be ok to take the radiographs just be sure to not be in the room when they are exposed! You should not be taking x rays and your dentist should know this. You should also avoid the nitrous. Most systems have an evacuation system that attaches to the suction. This minimizes the nitrous that you may be exposed to.Health Question & Answer
