Question: Question for people with braces.?
Does anyone have a thing called 'powerchain' attached to their braces.?.? It is tiny rubber bands attached to each other and they go over the brackets and pull the teeth together. I have had it for about 6 months and they have turned yellow!! They are supposed to be clear. Even when I have just brushed my teeth they are still yellow. Does anyone else have yellow powerchain.?.?Health Question & Answer

I have a power chain...They should be changing your power chain at every visit. Of course its going to turn yellow. Its clear. When you eat all that food, its going to stain it.Health Question & Answer
I used to have braces! Just got them off in June! I had a powerchain but not in clear. If you haven't had the elastics changed in 6 months it is just from eating (they get stained) they also fade just because they are in your mouth! This happens a lot with the light colours too (light purple,blue) I would suggest making an appointment with your Orthodontist and just asking for a different colour or just get a new clear elastics change!

Well I got a lime green one, but i'm getting a yellow film over mine. It's caused by caffeine and not brushing enough regularly. When you go back, if they replace it they'll tell you that you didn't brush enough.

I have a hot pink power chain on my braces. If it is really bothering you,go to your orthodontist and ask him/her for a new power chain. Use some mouthwash..if that doesn't help do the first thing I said.Health Question & Answer
it might be from eating yellow food like Manya's or Mustard, if this is true then you need to go to your ortho and tell him this and then he will get a diffrent one for you.Health Question & Answer
no, I go to a ortho and they let me choose my colors! If you drink a LOT of caffine it will turn yellow just like your teeth! dont get clear braces if you can help it!
