Should an impression of a tooth be taken before starting a root canal?!
Question: Should an impression of a tooth be taken before starting a root canal.?
I had a root canal done on a tooth a long time ago. But now it is infected and needs to be cleaned out. The tooth in question was cut in half(above the gum line) , have a metal base plate, and then a fake tooth on top. But if dentist starts drilling through the fake tooth on top. I think there is a chance of cracking it. So shouldn't the dentist take a mold of it before starting the procedure to clean out the root canal.?Health Question & Answer
