2. cardio-vascular (fat burning/endurance - burns the most calories in a given amount of time)
3. stretching
sit-ups and push-ups would fall under strength training. they don't burn as many calories in a given amount of time as, say, running or jogging, jumping rope, jumping jacks, stair climing, bicycling, swimming laps, etc.
here's one way to think about it. the more so an activity makes you sweat and puts you out of breath, likely the more calories you are burning doing it.

Everything that requires added effort requires Calories. How many you burn will depend largely on how effectively you do the exercises.
