My swelling won't go down?!
Question: My swelling won't go down.?
So I had surgery at least 2 months ago on my wrist and then got my stitches removed 2 1/2 weeks after surgery. Well it's been almost a month since I got my stitches removed and my swelling still hasn't gone down around my wrist. Is it because I write a lot (i have school and i have to write).? The skin where I got my stitches removed still haven't gone to look like normal skin yet. Is there anything I can do to make the swelling go down and make my skin look like normal again.? Any help or tips are appreciated.Health Question & Answer

Is the swelling accompanied by pain or redness.? If so, it could very well be infected and you need to get a swab taken right away and begin treatment. If it is not then it could be just scar tissue build up under the skin, and it may not go away without further surgery. It is best to have a follow up visit with your doctor and see what he/she thinks might be going on so they can treat it accordingly.

it does sound like scar tissue under there like Dio said, yeah i'd go to the doctor though just to make sure it's not something to be concerned about.Health Question & Answer
