Question: Doctor recommended to cut my mom stomach...?
Her doctor said she can have a operation in which they cut her stomach by half so she will eat less n loss weight.... but she doesnt wanna do it because she concern the weight loss will leave all her skin hanging down n looking nasty. Will her skin b hanging down or does that only happen when some one obese gets liposuction.?.?Health Question & Answer

Yes the skin does get loose and droop...I have seen it on the Tv documentaries...plastic surgery like a tummy tuck can then be performed and you end up with a pretty good result. It depends on the size of your mama. This stomach stapling operation is performed for weight-loss only as far as I know. If she loses alot of weight then yes she is going to have excess skin that can look pretty yuk if there is alot of it....
No matter what method she uses to lose weight she will end up with excess skin if she is significantly overweight...it wont make any difference if she does it through the method you asked about or regular dieting...the skin has been stretched and will only shrink back a little bit, the bulk of it will be left stretched and dangling.
