Question: I can't get any sleep because I have to sleep with a snorer.?
My grandma has came to live with us for a year and about 7 months have past. Every night, I have been kept up because she snores very loudly.
Being a child, I am not allowed to wake her up. I cannot switch rooms either because there are only 3 rooms in our house which are all occupied.
We cannot give her any medicine or treatments.
I am a swimmer so I have to sleep at 10 and wake up at 6, but since she is so loud, I only manage to sleep 2 hours or so.
Being 13, this can't be healthy, and I am constantly tired.

Get the ear plugs that aren't the foamy kind. Get the kind that you have to form to a shape..they work wonders. I'm in college and my old roommate snored so loud I even heard her through ear plugs but these did make it bearable.. Awesome, I just found a picture of the kind I use.. http://www.aqua-gear.net/images/mackskid... those are so much more soundproof than the foamy kind you kinda squeeze into your ear. I get them at walmart but they have them other places, or similar type to these. also, make sure that your parents know about this because there may be something they can figure out. They may be able to have your grandmother try something to stop the snoring..they have these little things you stick on your nose that open up the nose or just random different things to try. I'm a really light sleeper and any sound wakes me up and for an entire semester I had a roommate who snored soooo loud... I feel your pain and I really hope that you are able to get this fixed because you may only have less than half the time of her living there left but that's still a lot.. good luck :)Health Question & Answer
