I cut myself ofn the band saw. Its been two weeks since I did it. It still very senstive. A good chunk of skin is gone as well as some flesh. will the skin grow back. will I always have a groove in my thumb.Health Question & Answer

Ouch! When you say a good chunk of skin has gone as well as some flesh i fail to see how this wound will heal over without either one of these being present.?.?.? If i were you i'd ask to be referred to a palstic surgeon - and quickly! Yes, a wound will heal in time but how long have you got.? Without flesh and skin a wound will heal in on itself thus creating a sizeable groove or, medically, a deep fissure. This isn't acceptable nowadays and so you should go back to the hospital and demand to be seen by someone that can help you! Why should you be fobbed off with second rate attention.? The dr that first saw you is at fault and you have grounds to sue in a court of law! Tell him that when you go back! The skin will grow back, but it will be very sore and sensitive for a while. Everytime you bump it will hurt REALLY bad, but not to worry! Once the scab starts to heal, it will become more numb than anything.

HEY DONT FREAK HER OUT! My uncle had that , wrap it in gauz and a BIG band-aid and make sur the gauz is keeping it together. Then in maybe a few days maybe weeks it will heal. Thats wat my uncle did so hope i helped!Health Question & Answer
it wont heal. it will get infected and they will have to cut off your thumb. so i suggest you and your thumb have some good quality time before it has to leave you forever.Health Question & Answer
