If the doctor gave me an antibiotic for a spider bite & I have some left can I use it for a sinus infection ?!

Question: If the doctor gave me an antibiotic for a spider bite & I have some left can I use it for a sinus infection .?
or would it be a different antibiotic.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You have to use a different type of antibiotic fro sinus, as the antibiotic prescribed for spider bite would be to fight against soft tissue infection at the bite site. Never take antibiotics on your own without consulting the doctor first. As improper and insufficient dosages will make the bacteria/germs immune to the antibiotic improperly used and you will have to go for higher doses of more powerful antibiotics.Health Question & Answer

always take an advise from your doctor before starting antibiotics. how do say you have sinus infection firstly.? left over food is ok that too a day old but antibiotics waoooooo . sinus infections are very nasty to treat so plz take an opinion, before starting whether the ones you have are ideal for your problem or not and if at all he says to go ahead with the medication u have it should be taken for 5 to 7 days not with amount of u r left with it and stop that way the infection will not be cured plus you are giving a chance to develop antibiotic resistance.Health Question & Answer

No, the antibiotic used for a sinus infection is not the same as used for a spider bit.

Go to the Physician for the sinus problem, forget the antibiotics you have from previous. Health Question & Answer

No, go back to the Dr. Different antibiotics do different things. Plus, you want to make sure you take it for the right amount of time and it is in fact a sinus infection.Health Question & Answer
