Scratched Eye or Dry eye or something up with the contacts?!
Question: Scratched Eye or Dry eye or something up with the contacts.?
Hey, i've been wearing contacts for a few months now and I put them in last week and my eye got really irritated. It looked bloodshot and people thought I had Pink Eye but I knew I didn't. I don't know if I scratched my eye or not because earlier today, it wasn't red anymore so I wore my contacts for about three hours and it's all red again. I put in some Viseline eye drops to see if my eyes just dry. The symptoms for my eyes are:
aching - moderate
watering - sometimes
bloodshot/red - depends
my right eye only

This happened to my son too. He had to leave his contacts out for a week and wear his glasses. In the meantime, we had to sterilize his contact holder and had to use new contacts when it was time to put them back in.

you never know if its really a scratched eye, or infected untill you see a doctor.
but i had kindof the same thing, i went to put my contacts in one day and my eye wouldnt let them stay in there.
and i still wore them but i had a eye infection, and made it a million times worse than it was supposed to be,
i would go to a doctor as soon as you can, just o be safe. (:Health Question & Answer

First of all, don't use Visine with contacts. That is really bad for your eyes.
If I wear soft contacts this happens to my eyes. So I wear rigid gas permeables. They are harder to get used to but are easier on my eyes in the long run. It allows more air to flow through the contacts because they are smaller. I also only use the Target brand contact solution, for some reason other brands irritate my eyes.Health Question & Answer
