Really it doesnt hurt at all. But then again if you are scared of needles to begin with you will imagine it hurts more than it really does. I did alot of time in the USMC and ask anyone else who has ever been in the military, you get very used to needles to where you dont even notice them. just look away and think of something else. The honest answer is it depends on the nurse giving you the shot. Some are much better at it than others. Look away. Don't watch it being done and try to relax. The more you tense up, the worse it will hurt. Hep B isn't such a bad shot. Health Question & Answer
