I woke up the other morning, and I could not lift my left arm, everytime I tried it went really numb.. (nothing to do with heart atttacks etc)

Its nothing serious but not very Common either
For Most people this lasts for 1 or 2 days
More to do with Muscle than Nerve
Keep exercising the Effected arm and try to lift it every now & then
Its Normal that the Stiffness increases every morning when you wake up
You just need to be Patient .. If it doesnt Improve in 2/3 Days
U may consult your Physician
But All he's going to do is Prescribe Pain killers & Analgesic Balm
The recovery will still take its own time in any caseHealth Question & Answer

I think you should get this checked. I am not a doctor and at this point , since this is the case, only he can diagnose you properly. What if it is not what you think, what then .? Well the doc will decide whats best for you.
