Question: Does anyone know why pinky toe nails are darker.?
Ever since I was a little girl my pinky toe nails have been dark. I recently found out that all the women on my father's side of the family also have dark pinky toe nails. Does anyone know why this is.? I think it is hereditary but I'm not sure what it is that causes this.?Health Question & Answer

You may not have inherited darker pinkiny toe nails, you may have a longer small toe than average, this can mean your toe is hitting the end of the shoe somtimes and making it bend slightly... Making it get damaged (bad word... makes people sound like terminator).
so, try wearing sandles for a week or two, see if it gets lighter, if this is it then i recomend getting some bigger shoes.
After a while if this proves to cause the problem and you keep small shoes your small toe nail can become Ingrown or come off altogether, allthought it can grow back in a matter of a month or two it looks horible and can sting quite a bit...

well i file mine down.you know like you do your finger nails.i do it so they don't get thick and have ingrown toenails.i sand the tops of them down.Health Question & Answer
