Question: I have severe leg cramps at night when I go to bed and gets worse after drinking milk. How can I get relief.? .?
Answers:
I would have some blood work done. You may be low on Potassium. You could try eating some bananas which is loaded with potassium, but don't over do it. You may also be low on Magnesium, which can be gotten in pill form. If it continues though, get the blood test done and see if indeed you are low on something. Good luck to you sir. There is a pressure point that will help relieve cramps in the muscles. Take your thumb, place it inside of your upper lip, put your index finger on the outside, in the middle just below your nose, squeeze and hold until the cramps let up. Another thing to do is stand up and lean forward or spread your legs to stretch the leg muscles and even apply some moist heat by soaking a towel with hot water, ring it out and lay it on the cramping muscles. May take two tries.Health Question & Answer
