I got some in my eye sunday, it burned like HELL
It was acting up today, my eyes watered all day, it was horrible
Apparently its only inflamed!!

Battery acid is sulphuric acid and concentrated sulphuric acid can dehydrate (in the chemical reaction sense) protein. This means that conc. H2SO4 can turn protein to carbon. However, battery acid is not that strong. While the concentrated acid is 97%, battery acid is about 33%. That is strong enough to burn and with prolonged exposure could damage your cornea. If it just went into the sclera, the white part, you should be OK. Apart from its corrosive nature, sulphuric acid is not very toxic, so once the burning has ceased you need not worry about poisoning.
The acid to be really careful with is glacial acetic acid. If it gets in the eye, it's instantaneous blindness and your only chance is that the eye is not too damaged to accept a corneal transplant. What you're supposed to do is use an eye wash for 15 minutes. It could damage your eye to the point of blindness. Lucky you didn't get more in the eye. The doctor probably needs to prescribe an ointment to keep it from becoming infected. "Only inflamed" doesn't mean you're out of it. Go to the doctor, now.Health Question & Answer
I hope you washed it out quickly and properly. Some years ago a mate of mine got hydrofluoric acid in his eyes. It is quite a strong acid which they use for etching glass. We washed it out and he was in hospital blind for a couple of days but he fully recovered. That was about 30 years ago and he has not had any trouble since Health Question & Answer

you are supposed to rinse your eye with lots of water and go to doctor. If you spill battery acid on your clothes it will burn holes on them after a few hours so i shouldn't think it has done your eye alot of good.Health Question & Answer

You are very lucky considering the contents and you should see a doctor just in case.
