Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, or Accupuncture would be best for my pain?!

Question: Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, or Accupuncture would be best for my pain.?
I have 3 herniated discs in my back. They bother me off and on, but they get unbearably painful during my period. I've been to the doctor, and my pain simply does not respond to pain meds-- niether over-the-counter nor prescription. So, I want to try one of these: Chiropractor, Accupuncture, or Massage Therapy. Which would be best.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
They all can be good. With herniated discs however it's been my experience that the only thing that really gids rid of the pain and gives you your life back is non-surgical spinal decompression. This treatment is relatively new and is done with a machine called the DRX9000.

It is safe, very effective and is painless. It most often is found at a chiropractors office but a orthopedic or neuro doc can have them as well.

I would actually do them all. The chiro could help relieve some of the pressure on the discs. The massage will help release some of the tension in the muscles you are overusing to compensate for the pain. Acupuncture will be great for extra pain relief.

So I'd try all of them... see which combination works the best for you.Health Question & Answer

I would go to a chiropractor who specializes in orthopedic massage. It is very painful at first, but as you get the massages, you will notice a big difference, and feel so much better! Good luck!Health Question & Answer
