i Just slapped my lil bro across his back (he is 10) he was beening very bold calling me all des names..his back is all red kinda feels swollen i put a ice pack on it didn't no nothing for him..what else can i do..i feel terrible for what iv don..and btw plx dont judge meHealth Question & Answer

Caroline, your little bro will be fine. You, however, are going through major guilt. Did you apologize to him.? Did you explain that you let your temper get the best of you.? Little brothers (and I KNOW) can provoke their sisters to no end. The best thing to do is talk to him about what happened. Ask him if he really meant the names he called you, or what he just being a little jerk. If he says he didn't really mean them, tell him you FORGIVE him, and tell him how upset it makes you. He was definitely trying to get your attention, but in a negative way. When he saw it was getting to you, he just kept it up. Sometimes we can't get away from our sibs, but if you can, the next time it would be best to go into the bathroom, take a walk...just leave him in the dust.
The very fact that you feel so bad makes me know you have a wonderful heart. Just work to control your temper when he pushes your buttons and show him you are a big sister that's smarter and wiser than he is. He will want to emulate you.

Your bro should be fine. Trust me I am the youngest out of 4 children and I get slapped all the time. Maybe put some ice one it. Tell him that you are sorry. And play some games that he likes to play and do stuff that he likes to do. If it gets any worse then you should take him to the doctors. but it is just a slap, it's not going to kill him!! And while you are hanging out with him and he is being annoying tell him to cut it out or just ignore him. AND REMEMBER NOT TO SLAP HIM!! but he should be perfectly fine!! Generally a slap does no major damage. Depending on how big you are compared to him and how hard you actually hit him, he may end up with some bruising. I would keep it iced. Again, it may bruise.
