Serious question-What condition could cause a sudden swollen lower rt. abdomen, extreme pain 2" down/ 4" rt. ?!

Question: Serious question-What condition could cause a sudden swollen lower rt. abdomen, extreme pain 2" down/ 4" rt. .?
I was working out (doing an ab exercise) about 10 days ago, when I felt like a quick "stitch" type pain. It has steadily gotten worse, and now I KNOW it's not a stitch. My stomach is now swollen (from the belly button down). Could this be a hernia.? The pain originated in an area that I have an old incision from an oopherectomy(ovary removed), but now the pain AND swelling is in my lower ab. What could this be, and what do I do until I can see a doctor.?
also- I've had a complete hysterectomy 10 yrs ago because of endometriosis, and my appendix are also gone. Thanks.Health Question & Answer

Omg! that sounds terrible. It could be a strangulated hernia.Symptoms are, steady pain that gradually gets worse.
Nausea,
vomiting,
swelling,
pain when area is touched and
red skin around the hernia.
You may also have a bowel obstruction.
I hate to scare you but they are both life threatening and you should get to a hospital before it gets worse. I hope it's not a hernia but you need to see someone asap just to be sure.I hope you get it sorted and take care of yourself.Health Question & Answer

I hope you have already made it to the Emergency Room. Symptom of swelling, severe pain, intestinal spazms, may be an acute abdoninal hernia, strangulation of your bowel. I do not mean to scare you but this needs attention now. Please seek an ER Doc before your symptoms get worse. Love and hugs. Be mindful, get better and take care.Health Question & Answer

Hey Sweet Cheeks....
That doesn't sound like ANYTHING I've ever heard of before.
It's probably time to quit playing Brave Little HippieGirl....
and see a Doctor. It could be something minor, of course.
Maybe some sprained muscles, or something, (That's pretty
painful, I've heard.) But, considering your former surgeries,
it might not be wise to take chances. OK then, it's settled!
You're gonna do what Mom's telling you to do. Right.? Health Question & Answer

it's too hard to guess about something like that, but the bottom line is that you need to get it checked out ASAP. and if the pain gets really bad, don't be afraid to go to the emergency room...they will do x-rays.

hope you feel better soon :)Health Question & Answer

It could be a hernia or you pulled a muscle it's hard to say without being able to examine you but either way you need to see a doctorHealth Question & Answer
