Question: I am 24 & should not have physical problems yet!!-My right hip and right thigh hurt when/after I run--HELP!.?
I sprained my ankle (left foot) in June and think I was over compensating which is why I am having problems on my right side. I love to run and stay fit but I don't want to make it worse----It is to the point where it hurts to get out of bed in the morning or stand after sitting for a long period of time. Maybe physical therapy is my only option.?.?Health Question & Answer

no physical therapy is not your only option. you can try massage to relax your muscles. you could be developing sciatica. seriously check into getting a massage before you do anything else. it will save you a ton of money! and the results last longer. just make sure you tell your therapist exactly what is going on.Health Question & Answer
I'm not a doctor, but I would say go see one. They should refer you to a physiotherapist which could help a lot. They should find the root of the problem and fix it.
If you have been running/athletic since you were little this is not unusual. I've been dancing since I was 5 (i'm 18 now) and my knees are starting to give problems. Same with another girl I dance (and she's only 17).
also, strengthen the muscles in your body. Ever since I worked on my thigh muscles my knees aren't so sore after a dance session.
