Problems with knees an back?!

Question: Problems with knees an back.?
can any one help, have any suggestions, or know what is wrong, with my knees they crack alot, i know its normal for them to crack sometimes but mine NEED to be cracked every couple of minutes or so, if i don't they will start hurting and/or i will get this weird feeling in them like there is a bubble, my left knee does most of the cracking, the right one usually just makes a sick popping noise and that usually hurts, sometimes i will just be standing and i will get a sudden sharp pain in my left knee, and sometimes they will just have a dull pain in them while i am sitting down.
with my back, sometimes i will be sitting and if i go to turn around it will start hurting, sometimes the pain stretches right round to my stomach, and sometimes it hurts so much i can't bend over, does anyone know anything that could be wrong, should i go to the doctors.?Health Question & Answer

First off the doctor should always be your first choice when you are having pain of any kind. I would make an appointment but if you want some insight before the appointment go here.

I love webmd it's very helpful. Health Question & Answer

Usually this symptom is due to diet. The body needs the right amount of essential proteins and such for stability. Cracking joints is usually due to lack of nutrients to the joint tissues. Too little water is one reason. Age is another. Sometimes the body stops producing the enzymes needed to lubricate the joint tissues. Nutritional supplements can help, but see a doctor first to rule out any abnormal reasons.Health Question & Answer

I agree with ^^ above. If you have bad knees your back is going to follow. Go to the doctor and have them do an exam. At the least they will give you an anti-inflammatory medicine to cope with the pain.Health Question & Answer

I have the same symptoms in my knees. It's called Retropatellar Pain Syndrome or RPPS. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retropatell...

I am on Naproxin and Tylenol to help with the pain. I will be getting Lidocaine and Steroids injected under my knee caps next week.

Go to a good shoe store (one that is privately owned and owner operated) and have them fit your shoes for Stability or High Arch or whatever. I just dropped 100 bucks on a pair of NewBalance that feel amazing and I can already feel a difference.

also get in a swimming pool and walk backwards and forwards, side to side. With your back to the wall put your arms on the side of the pool and do the "bycicle" and the "flutter kick". This will strengthen your leg muscles that keep your knee moving straight. The pool is good excercize with very low impact.

Lastly, go to GNC and get Glucosamine Sulfate or something along those lines. This stuff will make your tendons and ligaments grow and get stronger. I can't take it cause I am allergic to sulfur but the Glucosamine works too.

Now if it hurts when you squat, walk up stairs or hills your back may be causing your knee pains. I know it sounds crazy but I am in the Army and I went in for knee pain and they blamed my back. They gave me excercises to do and told me to work on my posture.

Good luck.Health Question & Answer
