Why do I still have pain after gall bladder removal?!

Question: Why do I still have pain after gall bladder removal.?
I had my gall bladder removed 3 days ago, due to two large stones. I still get that pain in my right rib and back area - the one that prompted me to see the doc in the first place. I know they were operating on the right thing because when I woke up from anesthesia, that's exactly where my increased pain was. I'm hoping that after all of this, that the gall bladder WAS the actual source of my pain.

Anyone experience similar pains directly following surgery.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You might still have a stone lodged in a duct bile. But, that's something an ultrasound or MRI would show. My husband had his removed and ever since surgery had twinges...not the same pain, but same location. He had an upper and lower GI done to rule out any ulcers and such...the doctor finally determined it was scar tissue adhering itself to the rest of his bode. But this was done about a year after surgery.Health Question & Answer
