Question: Is 7 Months for a Broken Arm To heal Too Long.?
My friend who is a diabetic and 46 broke her arm and has been out of work 7 months. Is this too long.?.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
Most broken arms are treated with a cast for 6-8 weeks and then after physio, nearly all are back to near normal. However complications can occur.
I broke mine nearly 4 years ago, cast for 6 weeks but was still in a lot of pain. I've now had 5 operations on mine and have been left with a permanent disability, so a break is not always as straight forward as it might seem. Her diabetes might also play a part in the slow recovery.Health Question & Answer
