Depends upon how you have been treating it.
If you have been careless and not keeping it elevated or not keeping weight off it, you can pretty much bet that it will have not healed to the best it can. Far too often people with metatarsal injuries do not take them serious enough and they find out they pain off and on for years to come.
Was the metatarsal set back in its place if it was displaced when broke .? If not then it could result in the re-breaking to set it properly. Hopefully your doctor was a good one and took care of this.
Basically ANY bone that gets broken should be treated kindly for at least 6 months. Some will say much less time is needed but when its MY bone that I want to heal properly, 6 months is easy compared to years of discomfort in the future.
Don't plan on doing any running unless you really don't mind the discomfort. YOU get to make the choice.
