Help with my awful migraine?!

Question: Help with my awful migraine.?
I think I'm suffering from a migraine. All today I've been in bed feeling really ill. I've had a throbbing head, felt really warm and have really sore eyes. I've felt really feverish and quite faint. I kept trying to sleep but I couldn't. If I'd try to get up and walk, I'd feel really dizzy and have to clutch onto my head and sit down again. Up till now I still feel awful but need to finish my homework and other things. Now I've got changed and am sitting on my bed trying to finish my homework but I keep doing things wrong and having to rub them out again and keep clutching onto my head and all I can think of is my headache. It hurts like heeeck. Is this normal for a migraine.? How can I just forget about it and get on with my homework.? Please help, my head is so sore. Thanks. ?

P.S: Yesterday I had a very light headache but now it's just really heavy and painful. Pleaseee help. My head is throbbing and it feels like it's beating. Health Question & Answer

Hun, we've already answered this for you - my answer on your other thread told you to go to the doctor, or alternatively the meds you could get someone to go out and buy for you at a pharmacy.

My advice hasn't changed and your symptoms haven't changed. I'm a bit put out that you've ignored the advice on the other one and just re-posted it in a slightly different way.

You will not be able to just "forget" a migraine. It's a Saturday night, your homework presumably doesn't need to be before Monday. You'll be better off resting and taking some stronger painkillers than paracetamol, because clearly the work you're doing not will be of a substandard level compared to your work when you feel well.

It will be a normal, stress-related migraine, and it needs to be treated with some respect. Working through it will make you more stressed and it will last even longer.

Go back to the other thread and take the advice you have already been given.Health Question & Answer

awww you poor thing!
i had a really bad migraine yesterday i couldnt even get out of bed,
i usually find that sitting upright helps, for a start being on here wont help...will probably make it worse to be honest,
take some strong painkillers and prop yourself up with plently of pillows, make yourself comfetable and try and go to sleep,
have the light off
if you cant sleep then just stay in a dark room,
and sip water,
i hope your feeling better soon x x x xHealth Question & Answer

I don't think it sound like a migraine. But every ones are different,
and there are different kinds. Mine are light sensitive so getting in the dark, cold compresses and using Excedrin the high caffeine knock mine out.
Yours sound more like a virus or allergies.
My husband got sick like that when he started a job when he was on the computer all the time. They had to change his glasses.
I doubt any of this helps but there you go.

iv had that before, defo. migraine... and i think you should just drink water and you have to wait for it to go away... don't even bother trying to do homework, you'll just get it wrong and that will make you more frustrated than you already are.

Try drinking a Coke. And get a Hot rag and put on your head, and over your nose. That will help unclog your head, and help open your sinuses.
Try taking a HOT shower. For your throat, get some throat lozengersHealth Question & Answer

There is only one answer to this go and see a doctor that's what they are there for don't leave your health to chance Health Question & Answer

Aw dear, best thing to do is get a cold flannel and keep that on your head, and go to your room, draw all the curtains and just try and sleep. (and keep a bucket nearby, sometimes once you've thrown up the migraine eases.) You'll just have to save homework for tomorrow!

Try and find out what's caused it, it's often a combination of things - like what you eat, a change in your sleeping pattern, being stressed out, that sort of thing. If you find a food that might trigger it then it'd help to avoid getting them in the future. (for me it's chocolate and citrus things that give me migraines)Health Question & Answer

You poor thing. Migraines are s..t! You say you feel feverish, that makes me think it may not be a migraine but just a very bad headache.
First make sure you are not dehydrated so drink lots of water. Then if you can bear to lean over, soak your head in some coolish water. This will help to bring your temperature down. Take some paracetemol. Best not to try doing homework now, it will make you feel worse. I would do what I suggested then go to bed, in a quiet, cool room and try to sleep as much as possible.Health Question & Answer
