Scapula Pain without injury?!
Question: Scapula Pain without injury.?
I have been having pain in my right side scapula area for 2 1/2 weeks now. I didn't injure it, well I fell in the army about a year ago and landed on my right arm but I don't think this would just start hurting now. It feels like bees are stinging me and severe cramping. When my boyfriend rubs it he says he can feel fluid and a knot in there, also when he rubs it, it feels like someone pushes their finger against my throat. It also makes a crackling sound. I get shocking sensations and my right arm/shoulder feels really heavy. I have a lot of cramping it feels like the pain is spreading and my shoulder is starting to stiffen. I did go to the doctor and he did and x ray and no broken bones, he diagnosed me with bursitis. He prescribed me steroids (medropack) and its not helping, getting worse. HelpHealth Question & Answer

Sounds like you need to see an orthopedist ( if this was not the doc you already saw), as it also sounds like you have nerve involvement. An x-ray does not pick up on things that a CT scan or MRI will. A pocket of fluid could be pressing on nerves, hence the shocking sensation. If the steroids are not helping, I don't think this is just going to go away. You will need medical care, and don't wait too long; it could come back to haunt you. I had a slight knee problem in my 20s, did nothing, and now I am 40 with arthritis in that same knee. Good luck.Health Question & Answer
