Why is my arm numb?!?!?!?!?!
Question: Why is my arm numb.?!.?!.?!.?!.?
So I just got the Implanon birth control today (the one in your arm), and they placed it at about 3:45. The doctor said it would stay numb for about two hours and then wear off. Well its now 10:00 and still numb. However the numbness is moving down my forearm as well as at the insertion place. I was just wondering if this was normal or if I should start worrying.? hmmm that sounds weird... but many people do have different reactions to different medications! Wait till tomorrow and if you wake up with a numb arm still, then go to the doctor again!Health Question & Answer
It's okay to call the doctor's office who inserted it. You can call at anytime during the night, as they themselves are on call, or have someone covering for them. Rubbing it is not a good idea until you can talk to a doc.
Do call the doc or his/her on call.Health Question & Answer
