Would you treat your friends differently.?Health Question & Answer

I am going to be honest with you: when I had problems with severe depression and I told some trusted people, I did have friends that treated me differently. I actually even lost some of those friends. It was so tough and at the time only contributed to my depression, but in the long run I am better off. Who wants "friends" that abandon you when you aren't feeling well with a legitimate illness.? That isn't a friend at all.
Good luck and take care. I hope you seek the help you need and feel better soon.Health Question & Answer

That depends on your friends. If you have TRUE friends then no they won't treat you differently. At least not in a bad way.
My friends don't treat me any differently and they all know I suffer from depression.
On the flip side, there are some people who don't understand depression (although that's becoming less and less as it is more widely known) and could be unsure of how to act around you. But again, those would be strangers or people who don't know you very well.Health Question & Answer
