Hey! can someone please help me, im 14 and under so much pressure !?!

Question: Hey! can someone please help me, im 14 and under so much pressure !.?
I currently go to a school which i'd rate "passable" in reference to the academic education and standards. I had my uncle (and many others) recommend that i move to a new school which performs way better then my current school and the standard of education is extremely high. To me this is the perfect opportunity to move because im in the 9th grade and its not too late.

But i want to know ur opinion. Should i move.? Do you advise me to.? Is it too late.?

But i have an even bigger issue. My mother is very unsupportive in the matter, my mum doesn't really understand the great value of my education (since she's an immigrant) and tells me im stupid for wanting to ,move and is being absolutely stubborn which puts so much pressure on me !

Second question. Is my mother right.? Any advice on how to convince her this is the right move.?

If it helps, im a very self-motivated student who performs extremely well in school. But i fear hat im not being pushed to my potential and my teachers arent that good.

Im so sorry for this much writing but im so grateful !Health Question & Answer

If someone your age feels that the qualtiy of their education is lacking then 9 times out of ten they will be right. It is a rare student that will say they need more of a challenge and you should be commended for doing do.

Don't be hard on your mum. She wants to advise you in the best way she can but is unable to offer real help as it is something outside her comfort zone. She will be looking at the problem from a completely different angle, more than likely the upheavel that comes from uprooting and moving to pastures new - of which she does have experience and probably not all good.

Accept she isn't trying to do anything to your detriment but tell her you know you have to move and you need her help. Involve her and everyone should come out of this feeling happier.Health Question & Answer

GET A SECOND OPINION FROM AT LEAST FIVE GUIDANCE COUNSELORS AND SCHOOL TEACHERS TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU SHOULD DO FOR YOUR EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL.

*NEXT, DO NOT LOOK DOWN ON YOUR MOTHER BECAUSE SHE IS AN IMMIGRANT. YOUR MOTHER LOVES YOU AND SHE WAS SMART ENOUGH TO MOVE TO ANOTHER PLACE SO YOU CAN HAVE A BETTER FUTURE, LIFE AND JOB THAN WHERE SHE CAME FROM!Health Question & Answer

you should change your school if your father agrees.
your mother can also be right because may be from her point of view ur current school is better than the other.Health Question & Answer

Go for it. Don't worry about whether your mother is "unsupportive." Just do it. This sounds like an excellent step towards becoming your own man.Health Question & Answer

When I was 14 I had a dream like that and wrote a novel about it! Lol. I'm a tad supersticious and I'd probably say move...as long as it's what YOU want, not what everybody else wants. I'm 16 now, when I was 14 i would never want to move because my friends and family and lifestyle meant so much to me. Remember you need a life as well as school. Without a life school is not possible! Lol.
I know plenty of people who moved in grade 9...but maybe they wouldn't be the best examples to use, i guess they just stopped coming really...
I'm a Christian and i'd pray about it and it would always work out okay, but it's not that easy for most people...
You need to be gentle with your mother. What kind of mother would want her son moving.? Maybe i've gotten it wrong and she'd move with you...i dunno. You just need to sit her down and act as an adult, not a child, so she'll see you as a boy not a child.
All the best!!!Health Question & Answer
