Question: Have you ever called in sick from being depressed.?

Should depression be considered sickness, a reason to call in to work and stay home.? Would you feel comfortable saying, I'm bummed out, cant go anywhere.? Or do you feel a need to lie with I'm physically ill, coughing, etc..?Health Question & Answer

When I found out the first guy I ever dated was cheating on me I got so depressed I came down with the flu and an infection.

Depends on your work environment. The one I work at is very flexible. We have a co-worker who quite often calls in and says he is depressed and therefore does not feel good and he stays home.
