Help Violent Child With Attachment Disorder ?!

Question: Help Violent Child With Attachment Disorder .?
My boyfriends son has attachment disorder, aggressive behavior, and post tramadic stress disorder. His mother took off when he was two and wasn't the greatest mother, but I'm not going to get into those details. Anyone familiar with attachment diorder that deals with the problems at home will understand this question because you really have to live with it to understand. But for the ones that don't know, these children are pretty much damaged for life for what happened to them in the first year or two of life. They are programed to hate and not trust. They are violent and aggressive and some are very harmful to others and themselves. In some situations like mine, they want to hurt others and kill. I know that sounds harsh, but if you live with a child like this, they will tell you and show you. To others outside the home, they are considered to be the cutest and sweetest kid in the world. With attachment disorder, they are considered to be "fake" or manipulative. My question is, what do you do when you are trying theropy and medication, and nothing is changing (except he's alittle more tired during the day).? We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old. He has tried suffacting our other son, said he was going to smash the babies head in and the list goes on. He's only six years old! We sleep in the living room, between him and the other kids. We are scared. So what do you do.? Please don't respond to this if you know nothing about this disorder. It's a very complicated one.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I work with kids like this, and they are in level 3 treatment facilities. One girl has been adopted by a foster parent, but this was after 2 years of living in the facility and receiving intensive therapy. The only thing that is going to help this kid is that kind of structured living environment. If you can create a set up like that at home, then that would be worth trying, but most likely your bf will have to send the son somewhere to get adequate help. You can find these in your area by contacting DSS. This is one of, if not the most, difficult disorders to deal with. You must make sure you are protecting your other children. Medication often does not work because there is no chemical imbalance, he is simply hardwired to think this way because of the irreparable damage caused by his mother. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

All hope is not lost.
I don't care what label the doctors put on this it sounds like he is demon possessed and you need to get him to a Pentecostal Church because they will know what to pray but most of all you and your boyfriend needs to turn your life over to Jesus. This is spiritual and must be cast out of the child . You've tried everything else so why not try Jesus!Health Question & Answer

I don't know anything personally about this disorder, but I do know there are non profit groups who can help you. Check your local area.
They deal with these problems and will have many resources you can use.
